The lines don't disappear, they just get put in with the header. If your
e-mail program doesn't show all headers you won't see the first line(s).
Don't know why this happens.

just live with it.

I don't check my mail that often, but I think that is pretty normal kind of
delay. You do know that Bill Gates has to read and approve your e-mail
before he will allow it to be posted.
