Slick 50

I have heard (but do not know for a fact) that it isn't possible for
your
engine to get hot enough for Slick 50 to bond with the internal metal
surfaces. Supposedly is just flows through the engine to the oil
filter,
where it stays until the next time you change your oil. It could
easily
be an old wive's tale, so no flaming please. :o)

Personally, I use the Prolong stuff. I don't know if it is a gimmick or
not, but it doesn't hurt my engine. I don't like the Slick 50 stuff or
any of the others. I have used prolong in my last vehicle(86 chevy s10
4x4 blazer) and the thing is still going. It runs great at 200k mis. But

that is my opinion.
