I have heard of the Rockfords, but I haven't heard them. I am sure they
sound very good, but I don't think they would compare to the Focal's. I
am not sure though. Besides, it all depends on the application and
location of the speakers. Personally, I don't think they would compare.
On the other question, I don't think that you could really tell the
difference.I mean I listened to both the high end Focals and the line
below it(the ones I got), and there was a slight difference. Not really
so much that it was worth the extra money for them. I'm not going to
enter mine into and IASCA competitions or anything, but I could.
(according to the installer and salesman) I just wanted clear, crisp
music. I got it.:O) Wish you were around here, you could listen to it
and see what I am talking about. Let me know if anything else is needed.
