Dealer Invoice. I have to say that I went to about 10 different
dealerships.
In Connecticut the dealer is required to show you the Dealer Invoice.
I was ordering a truck, so the dealership invoice was the same at all
dealerships. However, the final price was very different at each of the
dealerships. They were all shocked that I was concerned with the bottom
line as opposed to the monthly payment. They can really nail you with the
monthly payment "talk".
Watch out for a thing called there advertising cost. I had several
dealerships try to tack $1000, $1,500, or $500 on saying this for their
shared advertising cost and a requirement from Chrysler Corp. It turns out
this is a load of crap.
I finally spoke to a manager at a dealership who told me $100 over invoice.
No games etc. So I bought it there. Apparently, dealerships get a lot of
money from volume.
