Has anyone found a decent prefab subwoofer enclosure to go under the rear
seat that will fit either a 10" or 2 8" subs? I also want to mount 2 amps
in the room left over but still want to maintain usability of the seat
itself. I got a quote from a local car audio shop for a custom box that
involves raising the seat an inch or two but still maintaining functionality
of the seat. The quote includes 2 8" kicker comp's in a sealed downward
firing enclosure as well as raising the seat and installing the amps for
about $450 out the door. Does anyone know of a better deal? (I'm not afraid
to install myself- just don't have the tools/time/skill to make the box). I
would appreciate any ideas- especially from anyone local to the Minnesota
metro area.
On another similar topic- I have a custom built sub box designed for 2
solobaric 12" to fit in a 1996? Mitsubishi eclipse (the nicer body style
before the current one- same as the Plymouth laser). I can scan in a few
pictures and email them if you're interested. The box was $300 new but I'll
sell for much less- make an offer and we'll go from there.
