Here's what I've done on my 93 so far:
14" open element air cleaner ($60)
B&F Throttle Body($90)
Mopar Computer ($230)
180 degree thermostat ($3)
Cat back exhaust system (around $250)
All that will give you a good start and some big improvements over stock...
