Blake,
You've gotten a lot of good info on prep work. As far as painting goes, you
may want to check with some of the local tech/vocational schools in your
area. A large number of these schools have programs in auto and body repair
(paint work also). Check when the semester starts and stops and maybe try
to get something lined up near the end. You could get a really nice paint
job (no worst than the "budget" job) from someone looking for a good grade.
The cost may only be a nice donation to the school or program.
