OK, for those of you coming to the picnic. It will be at Bastrop State Park,
just outside of Bastrop. If memory serves me correctly there is a Park
entrance off Texas Hwy 71, just east of Bastrop. Check your maps, as its been
a long time since I made the trip to UT from Houston. There is no set time to
meet there, just arrive at your leisure. Remember, bring something to eat!
It is a picnic. Enter the park and look for the MoPars. Which ever DML'ers
arrive first, I hope they get us a commanding parking area. We will take a
group picture at the park.
For those of you that are convoying in from Louisiana and other sections of
I-10, there will be a meeting at the Rodeway Inn, in Sealy between 8:30 and
9:00am. If you can get there between these times, we will caravan to the park
together. So far it looks like Mike Clark and myself are going to be there (I
need to drop off my 95). I will be in the 99 R/T CC, DA, and Mike in his Mark
III Dakota. It sure would be nice to have a convoy of Dakota trucks going
down the hiway. Once again, check your maps for the coordinates.
