Actually, you have things confused. The FIPK acronym is the K&N brand
name for the *360* ROUND open element that sits on top of the TB. The
FABM is the same thing, cobbled together with off the shelf parts so it
will be cheaper. Tony's deal that you mentioned is a tube attached to
the stock plastic intake deal sitting atop the TB; attached at the
other end of the tube is a K&N *360* CONICAL air filter that is closer
to the front of the engine bay in hopes it will draw in cooler air. I
gather you've seen Tony's site? Well check out the DML homepage for the
FABM setup. Those are the two basic setups. Then, some of the other
things you mentioned concern the TB (throttle body) itself and the
various restrictions found in its design. That's what the "Frank &
Bruce" TB's are all about--eliminating some of these restrictions.
Don't be afraid to climb up on your engine, take off the plastic intake
atop the TB and take a good look at the TB. Notice some of the
'bracketry' in the way? Anyway, hopefully that will clear up some of
your confusion. If not, post again if you need some addresses for
websites that can provide pictures to aid in you understanding.

Later,
JY

PS I had to snip all of the previous message by "Pedro J. Diaz" because
he needs to *CONFIGURE HIS EMAIL SO IT DOESN'T USE HTML!!!!*
