I got my Y pipe and Headers installed at a dealer that I and my whole
family respect. Last night I noticed a wierd sound, kind of like a
leak, sounded like a leaf fluttering in the intake. I decided not to
worry about it 'til morning. Well, today I got on the highway, and that
little sound turned into a HUGE roar! I mean, it's LOUD! So after an
exhaust inspection, involving beating each part with a crow-bar to see
if anything was loose, I looked....and saw that 1, not 3, but ONE bolt
is connecting the Y pipe to the passenger side header.
SOooo....assuming this is creating the HUGE noise, that my preppy campus
is about to crap a brick over, should I try to get the bolts on myself,
or just call the dealer (In St.Louis?) I'm also planning on going home
for easter. Will a 750 mile trip with this issue be a problem? Also,
where can I get the bolts, if I do it myself?
Sorry for the long post, but this sucks.
