Update:
The tire didn't 'hit' the curb, but merely 'scraped' the
sideway of the tire, but because of the height of the curb,
and the fact that the RT rim has a lip that sticks out from
the sidewall of the tire, it got 'grinded' down a little.
About 1/2 of the rim was affected.
To add insult to injury, my wife called me 45 minutes ago
at work: Our front door was wide open, and the Sheriff's
dept. was at our house......
SO.... 22 miles and 15 minutes (no alignment issues
at the speeds I was travelling) later I am home, the
Sheriff's gone, and I can't find anything missing at our
house. It appears the front door blew open (we are getting
a lot of wind, some rain right now), and no one was in our house.
Can you say "Gee honey, did you lock the dead bolt?"
ARGH!!!!! So now I think a beer is in order....
I've got TONS of work to do to make a deadline in 1 month,
and all I want to do is go to the Autoshow tonight here in
San Diego!!
