Sorry for the delayed response; been working too many hours to read E-mail.
In my opinion this was a whole lot more effort than it ended up being worth,
but here's what I did:
I pulled the fuel rails, removed the cross over hose, cut down the fittings,
and welded the openings shut. Did the same with the fuel inlet line as well.
Then I welded 3/8" female NPT fittings to each end of both rails. I removed
the fuel tank, and pulled out the pump and regulator assy. I plumbed a new
pickup line into the "slosh canister" (I liked the way the check valve at the
bottom controlled fuel slosh during acceleration). I ran braided line from
the tank to a high volume pump mounted inside the driver's side frame rail,
into an inline filter, then ran braided line to the rear of the passenger
side rail (AN to 3/8" adapter), and plumbed a crossover line with braided
line across the front of the intake. At the rear of the driver's side rail,
I plumbed in a Mallory adj. regulator, and from there a return line dumps
back into the tank.
Like I said, this was more trouble than it was worth, especially for my level
of engine mods, but if I ever get more agressive with the motor, it might pay
off.
