"99 truck of the year" truckin

just thought I would put in my $.34 about the contest.
I think they were scared that there beloved new cheby
would be beat out by a mid size truck with a real
engine in it. Hence forth only new models were
alowed. You know they wanted the chebby to win or else
they wouldn't have made it the "co-winner" with the
lightning that literaly spanked it to death. Not
saying the R/T would have beat the ford, but if you
figure there et's in with what other mags say the
new chebs do, you can estimate an R/T running in the
low to mid 14's on their traps... come on, a full size
cheb running low 15's... please. I don't street race,
but when I see a new chebby, I have to put them in
there place.

Anyways, that is just my thoughts (obviously I don't
like GM trucks)..... they were SCARED! of the almighty
Dak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will continue to read truckin because it is tons
better than Sport(chevy)Truck mag, and not nearly as
biased.

Also, any members live in the Hammond, LA area? I saw
several R/T's, and regular Daks.. I was in town with
my Dad in law in his 34 chrysler for the car show. I
saw one 99 cc white with a trailer and motorcycles on
it and really admired the roll pan and hitch on it.
