Jason, look on the sidewall of the tire for the Load/Index Rating. This
is a 3 digit code consisting of 2 numbers and a letter. It should be
right after the size of the tire on the sidewall. An example would be
"88H" or "92V" but not necessarily those numbers and letters matched
together. The number corresponds on a load/index chart to the weight
carrying capability of the tire, and the letter corresponds to the
performance index of the tire.
Standard tires are rated as Q, which is @ 100mph (if I remember
correctly)
Then there is S=112, T=118, H=130, V=149, Z=149+, W=186 mph.
(I am almost positive about the W, but would have to double check the
accuracy)
These speeds are for sustained speeds...
