I don't know who orders vehicles at the dealership, but they sure are
weird sometimes. Last week, I was cruising by Langley Chrysler who is
known to have a few R/Ts in stock usually. I see they have a FR CC, SY
RC, and IB RC. I stop to check out the CC, and see that it stickers
for $28,000 CDN, which is quite cheap for a R/T CC. The only options
are a/c, floor mats, and rear slider. That's it. IT DIDN'T HAVE FOG
LAMPS! This was obviously a very early 99 model, because fogs were an
option until sometime before Nov, which is when I ordered mine and
they were included as part of the R/T package. The last 6 digits of
the VIN were 161144. Mine are 20????. My question is how could someone
order an R/T and not get the fogs? Even Dodge figured it out by making
it standard. They aren't that expensive. Then, I go to Freeway
Chrysler and see those infamous 17x9 R/T rims on a black CC (just like
mine). I take a look at the sticker and see it has quite a few
options, but only stikcers for $28,000. The options didn't quite look
right, either. Then I see that it's a Sport with R/T rims! Why do
this? Then it makes it look like a R/T wannabe, when for just a few
hundred dollars more (I'm guessing they'll add about 1000 for the
rims) they could have an R/T. Maybe R/Ts really aren't available
anymore for the year. Strange. Just my rambling observations.
