Follow the owner's manual recommendation(Schedule A) for mostly highway
mileage. Thus you won't have warantee problems. In that schedule you are
supposed to go 7500 miles/12000km/6 mos on oil. And filter every other oil
change. IMO, it's foolish to run new, fresh oil through a dirty filter.
