Synthetic Oil change interval

I've noticed a number of differing opinions as to the change interval when
using Synthetic oil vs Dino brandX. I do about 30,000 kilometers a year
(18,000 miles) and 90% of it is highway driving. I understand that regardless
the filter should be changed at 3000 miles but what about the synthetic oil?
