Thst's right, tell your insurance company. Thay do not like it when they find out from the other party. I would not speak to any one from the "other side", think about what happen, be as honest as possible, and only speak to your insurance carrier. Let them handle the situation. Also, don't forget about your damage. As long as a claim is over $1000 and under $12000, it counts the same against you. The one thing you have going for you is you didn't get a ticket. Now put yourself in the clear (not tailgating), and say she slamed or her brakes and you tried to avoid hitting her but due to other traffic there was no where to go... now the accident is part her fault. Truthfull but bent slightly.
