As an electronic and computer engineer. I would be happy to assist in any way.
Does any one know what kind of cpu Mopar uses for the Dakota. I know that many of
the other cars that they make use a Seimans controller. I really hate to mention
this, I am a support engineer for a set of Design Verification Tools. That
includes C compilers. Algorithm proto-typing, engine simulators, data
declaration, and ecu calibration. If I had the C file ( program the ecu runs),
the I3e file, ( the memory map of the cals) and the UVD or GRL files ( how each
cal value is mapped). I could conceivable change the controller to any do
anything. I'm not a Mechanical Engineer so I really don't know what changes to
make to enhance performance. Auto companies pay huge dollars for good
calibrators. Wish they would have hired one for our ECU's. The auto companies
usually consider these software files high security, in fact I have to encrypt
them sometimes before I'm allowed to remove them from the design facilities. In
all likelihood if I did something like this I would lose my job, get sued and end
up in jail, but if it is just modifying a wiring harness no sweat.
