How much did it cost you to get the rollpan painted?

Subject: DML: Paint on fiberglass question
Well, I picked up my Street Scene roll pan last night from the paint
shop. Looks great, got 2 coats of base and 1 of clear. Little problem
though. The paint bubbled in a few spots, which the guy told me can
happen with fiberglass, as resin and solvents evaporate from it. If
the piece is fresh from the mold, its worse. SS primes it, but I guess
that doesn't stop the evaporation. I heard this also from another
paint shop, and he said he'd bake the piece first to burn off the
vapors, and then apply a special primer to it to seal any leftover
vapors in. I asked my paint guy this and he said that baking it would
"wet" the solvents and do more damage, and that no such special primer
is made. This shop is fairly large and popular in my city, and they
paint a lot of canopies with the same results. I'm sure with the
amount of people on here with roll pans, hoods, etc. I can get some
advice. Anyone? I appreciate it.
