Yet another dak accident

I'll try to make a long story short. After work on thurs. I stopped
at a store, came out of store, got into truck, drove about 75 yards and
had an idiot in an olds 98 pull out in front of me. I slammed on the
brakes and the next thing I knew, I saw pieces of my headlight assembly
flying.

When we got out of the vehicle, the guy said, well neither one of us
had a stop sign. He wanted to exchange names but I called the state
police first. The cop did the report and stated he feels the other guy
was at fault but he feels I was going too fast in a shopping center, he
said he estimated I was doing 30 mph. (I had the right of way, he was
pulling out of a lane of parking stalls). I had to have the truck
towed because the bumper damaged the radiator, total estimate of damage
$1,800. Now I have to go after the other guys insurance.

Too make things worse, I got a rental car, went away for the weekend
for the first day of trout season. Came back to the car after we were
done and discovered someone backed into the rental, smashing the grill,
headlight, and corner of the front fender. The driver never left his
name so I had to report a hit and run. Can things get any worse?
