The thing I hate is, there is horrible aftermarket support for Mopar in
general. Unless you have a carbed Hemi there isn't anything out there.
But, a new Chevy comes out and there is everything under the sun
available for it before the truck itself even hits the streets! Pisses me off
to no end...

Well, my R/T was my first Chrysler purchase. I've always been a chevy
man,
but when the new daks came out I couldn't keep my eye off them. And
the
power is unreal for stock! I love the trucks but Mopar plain and simply
sucks! The whole process of aftermarket parts is garbage. Over a year
to
bring out performance parts on a vehicle...it ridiculous! That's my .02!!

Subject: DML: computer bullshit
I was going through my old stack of sport truck magazines looking for
bathroom reading material. I came upon an issue of Truckin from
11/10/97.
It has a Dakota on the cove along with a viper. This issue has a whole
shitload about Daks in it. One of the articles was on the R/T Package of
parts available through mopar. Such as the, and I quote "Already
available
camshaft, headers, exhaust, and the MOPAR COMPUTER." That is
correct right
in the magazine they state that the mopar computer is available for the 97
Dakota. If anyone wants a copy I will be more than happy to Xerox it and
send it snail mail. I dot have a scanner yet. I am Fed up with ma MOPAR
and
its delays and excuses. What kind of crap is this letting a big magazine
print this then telling us it is not available. We should all send in a
copy
of the article with a complaintand get this fucking thing rolling. We have
given enough of our money to Chrysler that they can do something for us
such
as push this thing throng. This has to be done
Josh
