<< As I type, my Dak is at the dealer. I was driving this morning and I
smelled
a funny smell. The only smell I can compare it to is the smell of a freshly
opened container of tennis balls. Then I start seeing smoke or steam coming
from the vents and can feel heat. So I immediately head to the dealer. By
the time I get there I look down to see green coolant on the passenger side
floormat. Then as I get out to talk to the service advisor I see its also on
the driver side and on my shoe. So I insist new floormats, even though I
have some K-mart blue light specials in there. Hopefully they wont notice ;)
He tried to say that it might not be under warranty. I asked what determines
if it is? And he said, well the technician has to look at it. BUT, why
wouldn't it be under warranty, my truck has only 20,000 mile on it? Well,
see what happens. Anyone else had this happen?

Noway, he is full of it. I am assuming your Dak has a similar warranty to
what my 93 had(3/36 bumper to bumper and 7/75 powertrain), which means you
are only at 20,000 miles, then YES it is covered under warranty. Now the
question is what made is blow up on you?? Mine at 104,000 miles has never had
any cooling system related failures/problems.
