99 Dakota Question

Hello All,

First off let me introduce myself (since i'm a new member of the DML) , My
name is Chris and i have a new 99 dakota V-6 5speed Reg Cab.

I have a question about the magnum V-6. After about 1000 miles the motor has
developed a slight ticking noise at 1500rpm or less. You can't really hear
it unless the windows are up and the radio is off. The dealer said this is
normal. Is there anything i can do to prevent the noise.?
