I never realized what crap our bumpers are until this last week. I
pulled up too close to our house and the license plate got caught on the
planter out front. When I backed up, RRRRIIIPPP..I tore the plastic
part of the front bumper away from four of the attachment screws that
hold the plastic to the metal. In addition, I tweaked the bumper so
that there was about a 1" gap between the top of the bumper and the
front fender wells on both sides.
I can see how the plastic can rip away from the metal portion of the
bumper, but how the hell did I manage to mess up the bumper. I had
hoped these bumpers were secured better than this.
I am dissappointed with our bumpers. More metal, less plastic...that's
my .02.
