yep, had to have min replaced 3 times :( i find taking the bed off easier,
only about 8 bolts and the 2 hoses. But i am tall and can do that, but U can
build an a-frame type thing to lift if off. I hated the first time trying to
remount that 22 gal tank, and then the skid plate, but redoing the bed was
easy.

Alan,
Sounds like you need a new sending unit. Unfortunately, this is part of the
fuel pump assembly which is found in the tank. You could just replace the
sending unit, or replace the whole assembly. I've had mine replaced once so
far. I believe it was around 40Kmi. There have been posting where people
replaced 4-5 of them; so far! (And yes, you must drop the tank for this
one. Well, I suppose you could take the bed off instead. :'B
Good-luck,

Read on the list a while back about people having trouble with their
gas guage jumping around. I'm wondering if anyone who has had trouble
with this could reply with what it took to fix it. Ever since I read
about it I had been watching the guage and now mine is jumping all over
the place. If I have to drop the gas tank to fix it what would be goo
to replace as long as I'm in there? Have a '95 (fuel filter in tank)
V6 with about 44,000 miles on it. Thanks in advance.
