I believe if its legal in the state your registered, it should be ok traveling.
When I was stationed in NC back in 92, I had tint on my windows. When I came
home to PA on leave once, I had one of the local yokel "I'm on a power trip"
policemen pull me over for tint on my windows. I immediately told him to take
a look at my licence plate (NC plates) and he says "Oh." and send me on my
way.....
