The 1989 Shelby Dakota uses a A-500 transmission NOT a 518 as posted
earlier.
The engine does NOT just drop in, a new crossmember was welded in for
the conversion.
The radiator and a/c condensor were also moved forward and shims were
used on the front grille to provide additional clearance.
Also the transmission crossmember was moved back towards the rear of the
truck.
It can be done but definitely not a bolt in job.
