Well, I got the V8 TB installed. Simple replacement for the V6 TB except
for the throttle linkage. I had to rig up something. The linkage on the
truck (1998) is a ball receiver, the attachment on the TB is a flat
"clip-on" receiver.

I do still have a problem with over revs. When idling in park, a small push
on the gas gives 2500-3000 RPMs. The normal idle is just like stock though.
I'm hoping that this has something to do with the computer being reset and
will clear up when the fuel map is rebuilt.

BTW, I haven't had any pinging problems yet with the new TB. I've been
running 93 octane for a couple weeks now, and I replaced the stock stat with
a 180 degree. Of course, I haven't taken it out on the highway yet either.
