On a V6, there is no need to run a 3" pipe. (Too much can hurt performance
as well.) 2.5" is the maximum recommended. On a V8, depending on
modifications, 3" will work. The sound will also be more mellow with a 3"
pipe, but nothing that noticeable between 2.5" and 3".

With all of the average modifications being done to our Daks, the 2.5" pipe
is still the best for all purposes. (Of course there might be people
running 3" on their 13 sec. Daks,)
