Sounds like you made the same mistake I made... Scrap the drop in and put
in an open element or one the hybrid air intakes some of the other guys are
using.
I went with the FABM and the instructions can be found in the DML mod
section. Works great/sounds pissah!

I recently purchased a K&N performance filter from my local Autozone. I
installed it and reset the computer. I've noticed no difference
whatsoever in performance and I've drove the truck about 150 miles since
then.
I also removed the plastic cover covering the inlet of the airhat hose.
Why would it not give me any improvement whatsoever?
I do have a bad EGR valve, could that make any difference?
