I agree with Tim, in that mileage goes up as altitude increases, as
long as you don't flog it to overcome the loss of power. The air is
less dense, giving a lean condition, so the comp. senses this and cuts
back fuel, therefore, less fuel supplied means less fuel consumed,
giving higher mileage, but less power. I used to live in a high
altitude climate on the prairies, and didn't notice a loss of power
until I moved to the coast and went back for a visit. What a
difference! I think when I go out there this summer, I'll reset the
comp. as soon as I get there to see if that does anything.
