Hi all,
I'm having a bit of a problem with the CB in my '95. Background, it's a
Cobra 18 that I got factory refurb. last year (possibly my mistake?)
It gets into a strange mode where the signal meter doesn't work, and all I
hear is a solid buzzing sound instead of the background static I'm used to.
Also, both the transmit and receive LEDs are on simultaneously.
If I unplug the mike, it goes away. Also, yesterday when I first turned it
on it was okay. I wiggled the mike cord a bit to see if that was really the
problem, and sure enough it went right into its weird mode. Once it gets
into that mode, I can't get it back out until a couple of days later, seems
to be at random.
Before I pay a radio shop to take a look at it, I was hoping someone on the
list might have some idea that might help.
