FWIW... I had one of my wires slip out of the loom and rested on one of the
header pipes. The engine ran really rough and wanted to stall until I found the
offending wire... These were brand new Magnecores which are heavily insulated.
My point? Maybe it's time for new wires??

You may have already tried this, but pull the wiring harness and make
sure everything in there is nice and clean and greased. My truck had
very similar symptoms and that was the only problem.
