Richard, dont take this as gospel but I don't THINK the cruise is handled by
the SBEC in your year model. If cruise was flaky with your stock SBEC I would
bet that the problem is with that speed sensor or some other cruise part like
a vacum line or something. But you are on the right track swapping in your
stock computer and trying it, that's the easiest to do.
