cool intake WAS: Ram air setups (long)

you guys remember that Mopar Muscle with the 6er power stuff? It had
something about making a heat sheild and welding it to the bottom of the
intake. They picked up a tenth when they did it.. on a 6er too! Here is
exactly what the article says:
 
  "As nobody offers a Mag Six X-manifold, modifying the stock "Beer
Barrel" intake was the way to go. After ripping the intake off, the lower
inspection pan was unbolted and a heat sheild welded in place. This keeps
hot oil from contacting the lower intake where air flow must pass closest
to the hottest point on the manifold, the inspection pan."
