Mine cracked 4 times in my R/T. No real reason though. Had it replaced
after I explained the situation and opened a file with Chrysler. You
shouldn't have a problem getting it replaced the first time. It was the
other three times they argued with me. Good luck and lucky you...no more
little stone chips for now.

Subject: DML: Spontaneous Window Cracking

Hey, I remember quite awhile back someone mentioned they
had problems with their windshield spontaneously cracking
in the hot sun (at least that's how I remember the thread).
Well, I came home from vacation and found my windshield
had cracked while the truck was sitting in the garage
during the week! I live in Las Vegas and it has gotten
quite hot (over 105), but I still find it exceptionally
weird that the windshield cracked while in a dark garage.
Yes, I am absolutely sure its not from a rock chip . . .
the crack actually starts from the driver's side edge and
is about 12 inches long in an upside down J--I'm hoping it
doesn't decide to move across the entire windshield.
Anyway, can anybody give me any guidance on this? I
checked for a TSB, but couldn't find anything on it. It's
still under warranty, so I guess it should qualify for a
replacement, huh? Thanks in advance.
