Pedro:
This tow hook question pops up every couple of months. I hope you
didn't say anything to embarass yourself at the parts counter. $165
US is the correct price, plus installation. If I remember correctly
it takes a couple of hours.
Read the DML archives and you will find explanations for:
1. Why the factory tow hooks cost so much.
2. How good they are.
3. Why nobody has installed the $10.00 aftermarket hooks.

Subject: DML: WTF! $165 for Mopar tow hook kits without installation.
I couldn't keep a straight face when the girl at the counter told me
the
price. That is the quoted price without the installation. Might she
have been mistaken and that have been the installed price? don't look
like it, since that is what her parts computer quoted her.
Aftermarket kits are about 10 bucks. Those that had the dealer
install
them, what did you pay for the kit, and then for the 2.5 h of quoted
labor?
Has anyone installed an after market brand? What was it, and where
did
you put it? This will be an easy way to save 100 dollars plus.
