In response to your questions about tires, I'm running the New Bridgestone
Dueler AT - (D693). This tire has much to offer; improved wet handling,
enhanced noise reduction, new tread and sidewall design (from old Dueler),
80,000 km warranty and road hazard protection. Let me tell you, try and
find any other light truck tire that comes with mileage and road hazard, you
won't find it. I've got about 17,000 km on these tires and have not had a
lick of trouble with them. They have a much better tread design and
handling than the factory Goodyear's. Being in the tire business and having
run on the Goodyear's for a week when I got my 98' Dakota 4X4 I knew that I
wouldn't be happy so off they came, I've never looked back. The
Bridgestone's have excellent rain and snow traction and have the meat you
want if you like playing in the mud. But at the same time give you a decent
quiet ride on the highway, I know because that is where most of my mileage
accumulates from. The Bridgestone is a bit pricey I know but you know how
it is, "you get what you pay for". This truck has already gone through one
set of the old style Dueler A/T's but keep in mind they were on since the
truck was new. Plus I have over 100,000 on my truck and I drive it HARD,
hey and why not? It's a leased vehicle! Let me know if you need more info.
My 2 cents.
