I'd start looking for another dealer. Mods by themselves cannot void the
warranty unless the mod somehow causes the problem that brings up a
warranty issue. IOW, if you say change your air filter to an open
element and then suddenly your water pump goes south, are they going to
be able to deny warranty work on that? Absolutely not! Review this link

copy and show it to your service writer. Also look at the Magnuson-Moss
Warranty Act that is mentioned on that page.
The dealership is jerking your chain and I'm sure the fact that you're a
woman has nothing to do with it either, right? ;-)
