I wouldn't worry about these. Even though they supposedly make 270
Hp, every one I've seen on a dyno puts no more than 190 to the wheels,
which is the same as an unbroken-in R/T, with 250 HP. A local dealer
tried to make a sport truck out of a RC 5.3 2wd Silverado and put
SS327 on it. I walked in there and challenged Mr. Slimeysales to a
race outside. He scoffed and said his truck flies and that his ex-cab
4x4 takes anything on the street. Put your truck where your mouth is
buddy! He said sure, once he gets his Flowmaster exhaust in. Gee,
mayby that'll drop it in the 16s. We didn't race, but if I ever see
one on the street........:O) That POS also cost 3 grand more than my
truck! And his wasn't loaded! Motor Trend claimed they go low 15s out
of a similar truck for their Truck of the Year shoot-out. Seems pretty
unbelievable to me, but hey, they didn't even bring a Dodge along, so
that makes the bias pretty obvious. Oh, I saw a Calvin peeing on a Ram
on a Ferd 4x4. This instantly pissed me off so I promptly got beside
him, dropped it in second, and gave him an earful of 3" Ultraflow 360!
