I used the MP gaskets that came with the covers. If I were to go aftermarket,
I'd get the gaskets with metal in them on the recommendation of my engine
builder.
He swears by the hi-performance ones made by Fel-Pro. I just don't know if
they
put one out '97+ Dakotas. If not, their standard ones are probably better
than
most of the aftermarket ones out there (MP may even be made by Fel-Pro).

BTW, he avoids gaskets made from cork.
