Cale, I have seen 3 or 4 articles on this theory about covers and leaving
the tailgate down ect. Everything I have read says there is little or no
gain, They have said that when the bodies are in the design stage from the
manufacturer they go into the windtunnel to help design the truck so the air
is not being directed into the bed.That way they can optimize the mpg. I'll
try and find this article, I think it was in a hotrod mag or Truckin Mag. I
haven't seen any gain in MPG with a tonneau or the gate down!
