Aerodynamics

Ok, i've looked at all the testing material that has been sent to the Mlist,
and those accounts by engineers and the like. Now, all these tests were
performed in a lab environment to keep conditions equal and all that.
BUT!!!!!!!!!!! When we drive our trucks on the road it is not ideal
conditions, the back end bounces on even pavement, there are cross-winds
etc., etc. And there is absolutely no way i'm buying that whole "bubble in
the bed" theory. They're engineered that way???? I don't think so, trucks
are like 50 years old and the aerodynamics haven't changed very drastically,
and no body did wind-tunnel testing way back then.
So my conclusion after all this is that we need real world results to get a
definitive answer to the best aerodynamic setup.
Personally i think it will be a hard tonneau cover with a maybe 200 or so
pounds over the rear wheels.
Anyways, that's the deal. And if you disagree with me, well, you're just
wrong. hehe

Let's here the continuation of this discussion, i'm havin fun,

Frank WJ
