I totally agree with ya Eric. The only thing that i'm curious about is that
I haven't seen any posts in regards to this. (Like I said, the '97 and
'98's have this "problem".) I've looked on both V6 and V8/5.2L engines and
see the same thing.

I would believe that a straight shot would be the best. The bores to
the throttle body should match those of the intake. A perfect match
would be ideal, if the manifold opening is protruding into the space of
the throttle body, the I would say that the fit isnt quite right. So a
gradual grid would be cool but straight down would be the best I think.
