JA,
The short answer; no you don't need it. It will however make your headers
last a lot longer. It will also perserve the "new look" of your headers if
you are in to detailing your engine bay.

Subject: DML: To ceramic coat or not?

I am looking around at the various header choices for my '99 Dak 318
and see a huge price difference in most cases between ceramic coated
and non ceramic coated headers. My ? is do you need it?
I know that it reduces the heat and all, but can you live without it
and not hurt anything under the hood?

thxs in advance
ja
