Bob,
Pontiac has published airtunnel info in an earlier mag that we had a
work that proved that their ram air hood is more functional than the
Camaro SS hood because it is at the front of the hood and the air is
directed more into it. However they recently raised the scoop in order
to capture better air which has more volocity and less stagnant and
swirling air.
Talking with some old chrysler designers at CTC, the running joke
about the shaker hood was it was the easiest fix for the engineers for
NVH problems!
