There is a resistor in the air duct probably near the blower motor with wires
that run to and from the blower motor. Most veichles have them. This way the
manifacture can use a 1 speed motor and use a resistor to reduce the voltage to
the motor for lower speeds. I dont have an older dak to look at right
now,(mine is a 99), but somewhere on or near the firewall on the passenger side
near the blower motor. It is possable that the resistor may be in the air duct
under the dash also. When you find it it will probabably have at least 4 wires
in a plug going to it. Hope this helps.
