I personally experienced that problem a couple of times (at random) and the
system finally died on me. Turned out that the factory wires from the coil
were damaged. This may not be your problem but check to be safe...On the
passenger-side rear of the engine, the harness was rubbing on a corner of
the intake manifold (the heat didn't help it any either) and frayed the
wires.

Did you reset the computer after the initial install?
