Mopar Muscle did an article about a year or so back claiming
that the mods that they listed would bring the Dak V6 close
to or equal to a stock Dak V8. I can see the 230 hp but not
convinced it can be brought up to the 300 figure.
If I come across the article, I'll post the issue date.

Ok, I put the 239 into my Dyno 2000 program and heres what I came up with:
Stock:
400CFM SMPI (the CFM's may be higher than stock there wasnt a 350CFM choice)
Wedge stock ports and valves (these are the magnum heads)
Stock cam/roller lifters
Stock exh manifolds/mufflers
Fuel: Gas (detonation free...high octane)
RPM HP TQ
3500 175 263
4500 189 220
Same as above, but with small diameter tuned headers/mufflers:
RPM HP TQ
3500 194 290
4500 216 252
Same as above but changed cam to HiPo street cam:
RPM HP TQ
3500 183 274
4500 238 277
5500 255 244
Hehe...Back to stock cam (we need that low end torque)
Add a Vortec V1-B super charger (450 CFM capability)
Add an inline radiator for the SC, with freon (basically a condenser) = 120%
efficiency
RPM HP TQ
3500 241 361
4500 282 329
Add a 4 lb/min 100HP boost of N20 (still have the SC):
RPM HP TQ
2500 266 559
3500 341 511
4500 382 446
Now all you 6ers go out and buy a V1-B and get a bottle. You'll be
HAPPENIN!!!!!!!
Oh of course I did all this for the 318, but not for the 360 so I will post
all that next.
And no, I dont have a real life. hehe....
